James J. McCarriston Swampscott Rotary Trade Scholarship

The Swampscott Rotary Club in conjunction with the Peter and Joyce McCarriston is offering financial aid (a scholarship) to North Shore residents from ages 17 to 28 for training in a trade, such as plumbing, heating and air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, masonry, architectural and/or general contracting.  This is available to residents of Swampscott, Salem, Marblehead, Lynn and surrounding towns.  The value of the scholarship will be determined by the courses being taken and will be available to cover courses, books, certification and licensing classes.  Funds may also be available to help fund a work-study program if a suitable one can be arranged.

Interested persons may fill out an application and submit it to PO Box 36, Swampscott, MA 01907.  Applications are available at the Swampscott High School guidance office or can be downloaded at www.swampscottrotary.org.
